Rencana awalnya adl semester ketiga (fall 06). So pas minggu lalu pindahan, semuanya tiba2...hehehe.. gue di Indo dikenal sbg org yg segala "tiba2" by the way. Nah, jadi hari Kamis lalu, setelah melewati kebingungan krn timbang2, pikir2, telp sana sini cari masukan, finally pindah juga. Modal nekat, krn gue gak ada "kaki", di kampus hrs jalan kaki kemana2, which is utk jalan kaki skrg lebih menantang krn ada windchill cukup kencang dan dinginnya minta ampun, sampe ke tulang2, amit2 dah. Setelah dpt tawaran "omprengan" alias tebengan dari teman Indo seperjuangan Mr Will Tan yg baru pindahan off campus jg, akhirnya gua decide utk pindah.
Subaru Legacy L AWD thn 1998. That's my car. Subaru terkenal mobil serba 4 wheel drive, bisa dipakai jalan kalau salju turun, itu ciri khasnya. Wow. Gak nyangka tuh. Tadinya udah sempet bingung jg cari mobil second yg msh bagus dgn harga yg dibawah blue book price. Dua2nya gua tolak dgn baik2, say thank you krn mereka baik sekali, tapi bukan itu caranya, krn the problem is not the money. COCOK!!!! So we drove all the way to DC to look over that car and it was considered as a decent yet excellent one.
Nah, diitung2 ternyata cuma 2-3x nebeng pergi ke kampus, in just about 3 days after I moved out to the apartment, I can drive! Cepet juga, gak nyangka. Hari2 pertama nyetir di kota Lynchburg yg trafficnya gak separah Jakarta or seamburadul Bandung ini tetep aja sulit. Nyetir hrs ikut tanda traffic yg njelimet, apalagi buat mantan pembalap motor bebek kaya gue ini...hehehe. Tiap hari kerjanya hafalin highway (krn disini semua jalan itu highway), berikut exitnya. Ada 3 highway utama, US 501, US 29, dan US 460. Semuanya pasti suka kebalik2.
Anyway, it is a quite perfect timing especially cuaca disini mulai aneh2. Aneh bukan? Memang.
Yah itulah sekelumit ttg adjustment yg sedang berlangsung.

God’s Overpowering Purpose
I have appeared to you for this purpose . . . —Acts 26:16
I have appeared to you for this purpose . . . —Acts 26:16
The vision Paul had on the road to Damascus was not a passing emotional experience, but a vision that had very clear and emphatic directions for him. And Paul stated, "I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision" ( Acts 26:19 ). Our Lord said to Paul, in effect, "Your whole life is to be overpowered or subdued by Me; you are to have no end, no aim, and no purpose but Mine." And the Lord also says to us, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go . . ." ( John 15:16 ).
When we are born again, if we are spiritual at all, we have visions of what Jesus wants us to be. It is important that I learn not to be "disobedient to the heavenly vision"Ðnot to doubt that it can be attained. It is not enough to give mental assent to the fact that God has redeemed the world, nor even to know that the Holy Spirit can make all that Jesus did a reality in my life. I must have the foundation of a personal relationship with Him. Paul was not given a message or a doctrine to proclaim. He was brought into a vivid, personal, overpowering relationship with Jesus Christ. Acts 26:16 is tremendously compelling ". . . to make you a minister and a witness . . . ." There would be nothing there without a personal relationship. Paul was devoted to a Person, not to a cause. He was absolutely Jesus Christ’s. He saw nothing else and he lived for nothing else. "For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" ( 1 Corinthians 2:2 ).

new year stuffs
For a few weeks I was quite busy that I didn't have time to write something on my blog. Well, now we're at 2006, it's a new year, a renewed committment, a renewed heart,
and a new PLACE!
Wednesday, January 18, 2006 - I moved out from my dorm in 1971 University Boulevard, to a small nice apartment in Leesville Road, about 5 miles from our 4,440 acres huge campus site. It was a quite swift move. My dorm buddies were surprised. They didn't expect me to move that fast and I was quite surprised to myself why would I do that? I think it's a good time for me to start living a more organized life with some new stuffs going on while I stay at this new place. I have a good landlord/housemate; his name is Matt Duguay. He's a realtor, a cellphone shop owner, and he's running quite a good business. He's a former student of Liberty and owns a really nice small apartment to live in, along with his obedient dog; Jesse.
I had a doubt before I decided to move out but now I realize that all of these things happened in God's perfect timing. Praise His name! Yesterday was really a great day for me. I was reassured by Dr Falwell's sermon during the first convo yesterday, in our Christian walk with God, there is nothing happened by chance.
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
- Philippians 4:10-13 (KJV) -
